this weekend, with the help of my endgame shell, i was finally able to get sea access after 9 arduous hours of cutscenes, fights, running around, annoyingness. we started around 1:30 pm EST and finished at about 2:30 am (with 3 hours taken out for our sky event.) mind you, it took this long to get from 5-3 to 8-1 ... i'm still in a fair amount of pain.

if you're wondering what happened to my PM static, there's some drama involved there and it's an "eye for an eye" situation as to why i went on w/o them, BUT, i am not leaving them in the lurch and i am helping them get access still b/c that's how i am.

anyway ... maybe i'll write something in the rant section.

hehe, thank you. now that i HAVE sea, i should be able to come back and help you guys if you need it also. a lot of the fights are bastards, but let me know. the fights that might be the toughest are: the fights for the three paths (mithra, snoll and goblins) the airship fight and maybe a few others. the promies are more frustrating because there is a LOT of running around involved.

yeah, it was pretty painful. what was worse is that towards the end, before my tenzen fight, i had to run back to bastok and talk to cid, then go to oldton movopolous and then back to cid ... the next part of the mission wouldn't be ready until the next vana'diel day and as i was running, it was 18:00 and i was SCRAMBLING to get to cid in time before 0:00 so that i could start the next mission AFTER 0:00 ... guess what time i got to cid. 0:35 ... -_- yeah, NOT happy ... mind you, it was about 12:30 am at this point and i had to wait an hour ... ugh. i ended up switching over to watch SNL while the party members went and did a BCNM. i ended up dozing off, but woke up right before i had to talk to cid, so that was good timing.


i've never done anything quite so painful in game ever ...

but thank you, guys. only took me 3 years. xD

haha sounds fun dio, try this one, 15 hour party, straight (only breaks was when replacements were needed) Naughty, Roddick, and I, and i think Roddick was there for most of that pt too, and yes actually 15 HOURS sittin in the same spot without moving or anything lol at the end i was so tired and sore that i didnt even make it to my bed that was less then 2 feet away lol i think as i got up to go to bed i passed out and i woke up like 20hrs later on the floor, when i got up i even had some dog hair stuck to my face >.< it wasnt pretty, but starting the pt at just the right lvl to go to CN, and breazing through it untill just about eveything was toughs or lower, we got almost 6 lvls i think it was, hell maybe even 7 XD was fun, till i woke up with a partial beard XD lmao and i doubt very much i could ever be in a pt that long again

Ugh.. Been there and done that on teh never ending pt's as both bard and whitemage you get held hostage in pts. They guilt trip you with.. "the pt will disband once you leave" Sooo I end up staying and many hours later stumble from teh screen wondering if there was a detoxx program for FFXI.. I guess I took the hard route and cold turkey... IM OFF THE WAGON.. LET ME BACK!!!!! ::torches the wagon::

yeah, I remember that party back in my unemployed days...I went from 35 to 42 with my blm even though at that point I had only planned on leveling it to 40. LOL! Definitely a painful experience for my ass.

Oh and congratulatoins Diolicious, I hope to be there with you someday, although not in one day for me thanks ^ ^
