the process of embedding a video into a post.

find the url of the video you want posted. (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMDoPVJ9n6A)
copy the url and paste it somewhere you can edit it.
many of the video links look like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMDoPVJ9n6A
for some reason this is not an accepted format so you need to edit it.
editing the link:
remove the word "watch?" so that the 'v' is directly after the '/'.
change the '=' after the 'v' to another '/'
after the edits, your new url should look like:

http://www.youtube.com/v/CMDoPVJ9n6A
now, highlight and copy this new url and start a new topic to embed the video in. place the name of the video in the subject line.
above the message body, you'll see a small icon that looks like a piece of paper with an f in front of it. that is the selection in add flash to the post. click that and paste the new url into the space provided.
you will also see two small spaces to type in above the line where the url is pasted. the first one is the width of the flash while the second is the height of the flash. type in the numbers for each of these.
width = 425
height = 350
click the 'ok' button and viola!
in the message body you should see:

[flash(425,350)]http://www.youtube.com/v/CMDoPVJ9n6A[/flash]
center the video by highlighting the entire line and click the centering tool on the toolbar above the messagebody.
in the message body you should now see:

[center][flash(425,350)]http://www.youtube.com/v/CMDoPVJ9n6A[/flash][/center]
now, click the 'send' button at the bottom of your post and you're done.

your final result will be:
