this has been proposed in the past, but i want to do a naked tarutaru run! we always have so much fun witht he naked races, but a whole gaggle of tarus? man, what could be funnier?! of course, we should all go /anon so we can get the, "lols, it's teh gilsellarz!"

i'll hafta use a mule for this event, but i really think it would be fun!

when this was brought up, it was suggested we go from windurst to either mhaura or jeuno, so i took my little Bastokan tarutaru mule and ran her all the way to windy, where she still waits for this event to start.

I'm in. I haven't moved my cooking mule from windy in wait for this race.
I think that it would be alot of fun CE Naked race the mini-me version. And out of all the races.. Taru is the only one where both males and females still look non-stripper while naked.

I really wanna do a of 1 Taru race through a 75+ zone. Last man standing sort of thing. No exp loss so nothing to fear. Maybe find a zone with primarily sight mobs so you'd still have a chance to duck and weave.

Well. Imma make me a windy mule Been meaning to do so for awhile now for my bonecraft. So if you plan it sometime when I can go Im definitaly in.

I was thinking a place like Castle Oztroja. Having a LS general standing at all the doors spaming the handles so they kinda stay open for everyone to run through. Majority of the mobs are sight and they get up to lv 72ish which still aggro 75s. Its somewhat easy to get to especially since everyone is talking about their Windy Taru mules. Having the race end at the top of course with the trap door, since its safe in there. Again, mostly just a last man/woman standing sort of deal, mainly just for fun as any race would be.

Stotan since you show interest in wanting to create an event or at the least brainstorm some. I suggest you apply for the Event Coordinator group. There is a section for brainstorming ideas for events between the Event Coordinators without distracting from the current event being planned here.

I need input for the REAL taru players in our Ls for a good time for this race. It is important to me for them to be able to participate the most.
I will be trying to contact them sometime soon.
I am still currently looking for the prize. I was hoping the first prize could be one of the new beds from the past. The Taru Hammocks maybe. Or other windurst/taru inspired furniture.

I am not sure that going through Castle O would even be necessary. Just getting through East Sarutabaruta, Tahrongi Canyon and Meriphataud Mountains as a level one character with Yags and goblins would be an adventure. Racing to Castle O where we could have a general placed to judge the finish line would probably be enough. But that's just my opinion. I think this sounds fun though so I am definitely on board. I think PUP is the only job I have left at 1 so I am down for going as that.

I was thinking a more useful run.. like to mhaura. I've had to run through bubirumu many times trying to avoid aggro on my way to a dunes pt. The point of these lvl 1 races isn't just fun and amusement. It helps to train people on ways to avoid aggro.

Ok, its been a while with no further posts on this one...........but...........I'll put my 2 cents in.

It would be a BLAST!! I had a great time doing the last one (even though I made everyone wait, like what, 10 mins for me to get there, maybe cause I took the long way around). These short taru legs can move pretty quick and not get too far. Level 1 definately shows you the right (I'm alive!) and wrong (deathwish) way to run around mobs.

Windy is a good place to start, since we tarus hold most of the population. Its a pretty big place for those so short of stature (which is why we have so many warp tarus around town). Having had to make the run from Windy to Mhaura and back again as a lvl 10 (multiple times), I can honestly say I think it would be the best run - especially having the zone at Mhaura providing the finish line. The only problem could be getting out of Mhaura. Instant Warp/D2 would be one of the better ways, so perhaps our blm population (who won't have a taru in the race) could help out there.

To answer Stotan's suggestion, I would think running all races through a 75+ area would be better than trying to put just a bunch of tarus through. The learning curve on the individual races would be much higher.
