A Misguided Soul

I sit here lonely inside
So sad I wish I could hide

My heart hurts it pains me so
The hatred inside me continues to grow

My vision grows blurry tears start to fall
I dont like people I'm sick of them all

I wish I was gone Im sick of this shit
Im just so weary Im ready to quit

The razor blade slips the blood starts to flow
His brain tells him stop but his heart tells him no

The floor is crimson its growing quite slick
Darkness is falling its closing in quick

You thought I wouldnt do it no way never
And now Im gone for good permanently

Something I wrote a few years ago when I was in a dark place. I don't feel this way anymore so don't get the wrong idea.

wow ... that's really good. i think some of our best work comes out when we're in a dark place. our emotions are so raw and untapped and when you begin to write them out, they really pop and seem to vibrate with their own power, so yeah ... i've been there as well once or twice and i always get the bug to write when i'm there and some of the stuff i've written gives me chills to this day when i read it. not ready to share it yet, tho.

It's a tough thing to share your innermost thoughts and feelings. This is the first time I've shown this to anyone other than my wife. I wrote it four years ago. Hopefully you will be willing to share some day Dio. I would love to see some of your work. I appreciate the nice comments my friend.

Thanks Luna. There were some dark times in my past and I had to find some way to let it out. It's hard for me to let my wall down and actually talk about it. Writing it down really helps though. I've grown and learned a lot since those days so I'm past those kinds of feelings now. It just raises the hair on my neck when I read it though. Thanks again.

yeah I know the feeling about needing to write something down just to get it out. It raised hairs on my neck too. It was a very chilling picture you portrayed very well. Maybe I'll share what I wrote one day. It very girly poems though. lol that and I haven't written any new ones in close to 10 years. After I met Gunner I lost the angst of a poet. lol

I would love to see some of your work if you're up to sharing sometime. Reading is a thirst that I will never be able to quench.
