This was so hilarious to sign in to the game the other day to an announcement for this on the server message. Best part was the website they referred you to was VERY vague about info on the in game reward. Gave me a chuckle that someone rushed it to a server message when the item wasn't for sale yet. It was announcing it to come...

But on a different view I think real RPG players would be saddened to see ads for products as a server message. Kinda pulls you back out of the RPG world that they are trying to immerse themselves in. Ads are more appropriate before you enter the world. Server messages should be saved for game affecting info. Getting a prize for buying something doesn't qualify though. lol

i agree ... where do they stop after this? maybe there will be billboards in valkurm dunes? or starbucks in jeuno? srsly.

Saddens me to see that its come to this. The game Ive spent so much time on is dieing... When I get back from Iraq I dunno if I'll be coming back to ffxi. I'll atleast get on to pass off my stuff and say good bye to everyone if I decide to do so.
