yes, assignment would be great. screw paying 100k for a piece of cloth just because it's involved in one of these quests.

I do the same thing, Rosy's problem is that he never sends any of it to his mules, he just tries to keep it all on him lol.

hello ... my name is dionys ... and i'm a packrat.

i definitely feel you, rosy and i think most everyone is aware, but in case not, i'm coming out of the "mule closet" ...

i currently have 14 mules, plus a second account with 3 mules (one is for bazaaring, the other 2--soon to be 3--are for being able to send myself stuff in real time from other nations). i have stuff on my mules that i will probably never ever use again ... sometimes 2 of the same thing .. sometimes 4 (please see courage rings) ... i have low level gear that could easily be sold or dropped ... i have high level gear for jobs that i'll never level ... and I. WANT. MOAR!!!!

i am a collector ... one day i will wake up and sell most of the useless items i have collecting on my mules, but there's ALWAYS that voice in the back of my head that asks ...

they say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem ... well, i don't have a problem if SE keeps giving me bigger bags. ^^

actually, no .. the only characters that i have anything additional for inventory space is dionys (obviously) and talen, which has become more than a mule ... talen is now a second character with access to aht urghan (for the mog locker) that i've got BLM47 on ... so i don't think he can be classified as a mule anymore.

and adding mules is like an addiction for me ... it's weird ... i have all this stuff that i don't want to get rid of and no other alternative than to create a new mule ... it wasn't always like this, mind you ... it used to be where i only had dionys ... but, once you start reaching higher levels, you start to collect lots of gear ... some you may or may not use later on and well, it'd be a shame to get rid of it now and then have to buy it later on, you know?

the question i always get is "how can you afford that?" which, yeah, granted i pay almost $50/month for my FFXI addiction, but i finally have a job where i get paid very well and i'm going to treat myself, dammit.

so, yeah ... that's me an my mule addiction in a nutshell.
